Accounting

This program will prepare you for a career in the public accounting profession, private industry, government, and the nonprofit sector. You will develop the skills needed for attaining the Certified Public Accountant certification while gaining real-world experience from faculty who will guide you in your accounting career.

Acting

This program incorporates academic rigor with top-notch theatrical productions, giving you both excellent training in the theatrical field and a scholarly foundation in the liberal arts. Our liberal arts approach is what differentiates this program from specialized conservatory training. You will become a skilled theatre artist who synthesizes your liberal arts education through your craft.

Actuarial Sciences

Students completing a minor in Actuarial Science will prepare for a career as professionals who measure, analyze, and manage financial risk and uncertainty. The program combines tools from mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, and accounting to assess financial risks facing our society. Upon completion of the program, students will be ready to join the workforce in insurance, banking, federal and state pension programs, employee benefits departments, consulting, and many other fields.

Aerospace Engineering

The Mechanical Engineering concentration in Aerospace Engineering provides students with foundations of the design of aircraft and spacecraft. You will take courses that focus on aerospace fundamentals, including flight dynamics, aerodynamics, power and propulsion systems, and aircraft structures.

Africana Studies and Research

In the Africana Studies and Research program, you will learn about the contributions that people of African descent have made to the global human experience. You'll also acquire the knowledge, skills and dispositions to speak and write about the experiences of people of African descent.  

American Politics

Politics majors can choose to focus on American government as an area of specialization, studying both historical and contemporary issues of U.S. policy and governance. Students go on to work in a wide range of careers, such as legislative aides, lobbyists, campaign managers, or political consultants.

Anthropology

As an anthropology student, you’ll study human diversity from the Paleolithic to the present. You’ll learn how humans form and think about communities; make a living; impact the environment; communicate; and express themselves in art, religion, and language.

Arabic and Islamic World Studies

In this multidisciplinary program, you will study the languages, cultures, religions, history, and politics of the Islamic world. It provides an excellent foundation for students anticipating international work or service, graduate school, or graduating into an increasingly "global" world.

Archaeology

As an archaeology student, you will study the history of human cultural development, from the stone tool and cave art of early modern Homo sapiens through the growth of complex pre-industrial agricultural societies. You will learn analysis and field investigation techniques while taking courses that cover survey, excavation, preservation, and cataloging of artifacts and human remains from historic and prehistoric sites.

Architectural Studies

Students majoring in architectural studies gain exposure to the conceptual content of architecture within a liberal arts framework. You can choose to focus on architectural history, theory, design, or technology. You will gain skills in critical thinking and understanding the ways in which we inhabit and shape the material world.

Architecture

Students studying architecture will become familiar with the fundamentals of design, whether that will be applied to building construction, theater sets, furniture design, real estate development, or digital fabrication. You also will study current technological advances and the confluence of sustainable design, urbanism, and social justice.

Architecture and Engineering

Architecture and Civil Engineering majors will take part in a five-year program to earn both a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering. The joint program combines the fundamentals of design with the long-term planning and maintenance of the human habitat. Students will take a combination of courses in both subjects, widening the scope of professional opportunities after graduation.

Art and Design

Art and Design students have the opportunity to study broad range of studio and digital art practices. After a taking core courses, students can choose to concentrate in 3D Animation and Character Design, Digital Photography, Graphic Design & Illustration, Drawing & Painting, Sacred Art & Social Practice, or Sculpture & Ceramics.

Art History

As an art history major, you will explore the spirit and expression of art from today to the earliest Paleolithic cave paintings rendered over 30,000 years ago. You will learn that the study of art history is an investigation into this most essential, sophisticated, and enduring form of human communication.

Asian Studies

The Asian Studies minor enables you to take courses in several disciplines, including Chinese, politics, theology and religious studies, drama, and history. Students completing this minor are strongly encouraged to study abroad in Asia.

Big Data for Economics

Students in this program will learn about big data through the lens of economics. This program is open to students in all academic backgrounds. Students will take courses in computer science in addition to economics.

Biochemistry

Biochemistry is the study of chemical processes in living organisms — from the chemistry of photosynthesis to the steps your own body takes to convert food into energy. A biochemistry major combines the principles of biology and chemistry to help you understand the processes of life.

Biology

ßÏÅ®ÊÓƵ trains biologists who are critical thinkers and ready to work at the cutting edge of science and medicine. As a biology major, you will enter into a rigorous program in which you will explore classical and contemporary areas of science. You will also have the chance to work directly with faculty on their research projects.

Biomedical Engineering

This interdisciplinary field combines aspects of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics. Students study biomedical engineering to be of service to people and to apply advanced technologies to complex problems of medical care.

Biomedical Engineering – Pre-Med

Biomedical Engineering majors apply the science of engineering to medical care and treatment for improving health and function of the overall population. Students on the pre-med track will take additional courses in organic chemistry to better prepare them for further education and a career in medicine.

On the business and public policy track, you will engage in contemporary debates and cutting-edge research, while exploring moral foundations of the free society and the market and non-market conditions for human flourishing. Chemical Physics

Chemical Physics majors seek to understand how the universe works. You will take lab coursework ranging from organic chemistry to electricity and magnetism, participate in exciting research, and have the chance to intern at one of D.C.’s many laboratories.

Chemistry

As a chemistry major, you'll be encouraged to participate in current research projects, making you a part of a renowned interdisciplinary community, researching topics ranging from the molecular structure of organic cells to sediment composition in the Chesapeake Bay.

Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering majors design, construct, manage, and maintain the physical elements of the human habitat. Civil Engineering majors at ßÏÅ®ÊÓƵ can choose a specialization path in construction engineering and management, environmental engineering, structural engineering, or transportation engineering. 

Classical Studies

Classical Studies majors investigate the ancient world from a variety of perspectives. They select courses in Greek and Roman literature (read in English or in Greek or Latin--their choice), ancient history, art and architecture, mythology, and ancient culture, and can add relevant electives chosen from throughout the university..

Composition

As a composition major, you will develop your compositional technique and academic skills. You will spend two semesters in private study on a principal instrument or voice, and eight semesters of private composition lessons. You will graduate with a rigorous and thorough grounding in the compositional craft and in performance, integral parts of a compositional career.

Computer Science

Students studying computer science use math and science to solve emerging real-world problems involving programming, networking, information security, image analysis, and advanced computer systems. They learn the communication, organizational, and teamwork skills necessary to execute complex technological solutions.

Conducting Emphasis

The minor in conducting is designed for music majors who are orchestral or chamber musicians, voice majors, pianists, and composers. The program offers knowledge, techniques, and experience in the art and craft of conducting for those who wish to become more adept and expressive as conductors, who expect to conduct their own ensembles, or, as in the case of composers, their own musical creations.

Construction Engineering and Management

Civil engineering majors in the construction engineering and management track will study the fundamentals of engineering and basic science and be challenged to think critically in various design courses. Students in this track take four specialization courses, a surveying requirement, an internship requirement, and a senior capstone class.

Crime and Justice

In this sociology concentration, you’ll study the modern challenges to social order. You will learn how to address the causes of deviance and assess programs to prevent and control crime. You will be able to apply theory and research skills to develop and evaluate programs effectively, and you will be able to assess the real and potential social impacts of crime and justice prevention programs.

Criminology

Criminology majors study crime in societies and the preventative strategies that could control these social behaviors. After taking core sociology courses, students will learn about topics such as forensic policies, the social psychology of crime, and how crime is perceived in popular culture. You will study criminology from an evidence-based and Catholic social justice perspective.

Dance

The dance minor is available to all undergraduate students but specifically complements majors in theatre, music, visual arts, media arts, education, and psychology. The dance minor includes a strong emphasis on technique as well as creativity in dance through understanding the mechanics and physical understandings of the body.

Data Analytics

The minor in data analytics prepares students to analyze large data sets in their chosen fields. The minor is aimed at students majoring in engineering, mathematics, physical and social sciences, business, and other disciplines. Students will take courses in applied statistics, data analysis, and an introduction course for learning Python.

Data Analytics for Business

In this program, you will learn how to develop good business insight from rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis of data. You will learn how to use tools and techniques to understand business scenarios and enhance decision-making capability. 

Digital Art and Design

The Digital Art and Design Certificate provides a foundation in essential design skills and integral technical prowess. You will learn specific skills in digital communication and design, including web design, print design, digital photography, Photoshop, Illustrator, video production, and 3D animation. You will gain the ability to create engaging forms of expressive communication necessary to compete in the highly competitive job market.

Double Bass, Harp

In this program, you will receive first-class musical training. Along with foundational music courses in areas like music history and conducting, you will receive advanced private instruction in double bass or harp.

Drama

This program is for the student who is drawn to and inspired by the idea of theatre, and who wishes to engage in all aspects of the discipline.  As a drama major, you will explore the myriad areas of theatre: design, directing, playwriting, technical skills, dramatic criticism, and acting. 

Economics

As an economics major, you’ll develop expertise in economic theory and its applications. You’ll study microeconomics, macroeconomics, statistics, econometrics, and take electives such as environmental economics, economic development, international trade, international finance, and industrial organizations.

Education Studies

As an education studies major, you’ll examine the learning process of culturally and academically diverse students, the organization of schooling, and its links to the broader social context from an interdisciplinary perspective. You will examine the impact of political, historical, psychological, cultural, economic, and social forces on education.

Electrical Engineering

Electrical engineering majors are creative individuals who apply scientific principles to solve real-world problems. You will learn strong critical thinking skills, using math and science to solve problems related to power, electronics, control systems, image analysis, signal processing, and communications systems.

Elementary Education

As an elementary education major, you’ll learn how to teach children in grades first to sixth. You’ll explore a variety of educational settings and meet different professionals in the field.

Energy and Environment

Mechanical engineering majors with a concentration in energy and environment will gain practical and theoretical knowledge about how science, engineering, and public policy can affect the environment. Students will learn how to protect the environment and solve problems in waste disposal, remediation, and pollution prevention.

English

As an English major, you’ll develop a progressively more differentiated sense of literary history, a more discriminating sense of literary value, and a more sophisticated understanding of the cultural and social roles of literature. Entrepreneurship

As an entrepreneurship student, you will study under the direction of successful entrepreneurs and accomplished academics. You will learn what entrepreneurship is and its impact on society; you will study cases of entrepreneurs and learn to develop your own creativity; and you may start your own micro-business as part of VentureLab. The entrepreneurship program is meant to be pursued in conjunction with another program within the Busch School of Business.

Environmental Chemistry

As an environmental chemistry major, you will learn about the impact humans have on our environment and natural resources. You will study a wide variety of sciences to become an advocate for our planet and its resources.

Environmental Engineering

Environmental engineering majors learn how to manage human impact on the natural and built environment. In the program, you will gain skills to tackle environmental problems using advanced technologies through a multi-disciplinary approach combining engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, ecology, geology, math, and public policy.

European Studies

In this program, you will study the history, politics, and culture of Europe and the European Union from various perspectives and modes of inquiry. You will become thoroughly knowledgeable in at least one of the cultures of Europe and acquire advanced language proficiency in at least one European language other than English.

Exploratory

The Exploratory Major is designed to let you purposefully seek out your area of focus by taking classes in many different subjects before choosing a major. Your Undergraduate Advisor will help you to select courses that appeal to your intellectual curiosity and satisfy core University requirements.

Finance

In this program, you will develop an in-depth understanding of investments but also awareness of the impact of fiscal decisions on individuals and society. You will study the interconnected world of money, markets, capital, credit, banking, and the many ways that monetary and fiscal policies affect the well-being of people.

Global Migration and Refugees

This interdisciplinary program focuses on the comparative study of migration and national development, affirming the principle expressed by the Catholic Church of individuals' rights to find the good life in their homeland and, when this effort fails, to search for prosperity and well-being elsewhere.

Greek and Latin

As a Classics - Greek and Latin major, you’ll read classical texts in both Greek and Latin. You also will become familiar with the history, literature, and culture of the classical world. This program will prepare you for a career in classics, whether in the university world, in archaeology, or in museum work.

Health Policy

This track provides students an education in sociology, focused on healthcare systems and public health policy development and implementation. Our program offers a unique perspective to the role of health and policy in society through the application of theory and research skills to evaluate health and policy related systems.

Hispanic Studies

As a Hispanic Studies major, you’ll study the cultural history of Latin America, Spain, and the Hispanic and Latino communities in the United States. You’ll enhance your classroom learning and language proficiency through a semester abroad in a Spanish-speaking country.

Information Technology

This program will help you develop an understanding of the concepts surrounding the essential infrastructure for work in all academic disciplines and professional fields, as well as daily life. Instrumental Music Education

As an instrumental music education major, you will build a strong theoretical and practical foundation in music education. Intelligence Studies

This program seeks to bridge the widely recognized gap between what new employees in the intelligence community should know and what they typically do know. Students take a variety of courses offered by the departments of politics, psychology, library and information science, sociology, computer science, and management.

International Business

In this program, you will develop the global vision to recognize international marketing opportunities, analyze threats from foreign competitors, and develop effective global business strategies. International Economics and Finance – Honors

This program is designed to provide honors students with proficiency in economic theory and policymaking as they relate to the international global economy while providing a solid financial background.

Irish Studies

The Irish Studies Minor is open to all enrolled undergraduate students. It supplements a student’s general course of study in a major area of concentration. Those enrolled in the Minor take classes in a variety of subjects, examining the languages, history and culture of Ireland from a variety of scholarly perspectives and methods of inquiry.

Islamic World Studies

In this multidisciplinary program, you will learn about the societies, cultures, religious traditions, and politics of the Muslim world. You will study the Islamic world, which covers the Middle East and Africa to South and Southeast Asia to Europe and the Americas, and the emergence of Islam until today.

Italian Studies

As an Italian Studies major, you’ll study Italian language, culture, literature, fine arts, politics, and history. You’ll also enhance your classroom learning and language proficiency through a semester abroad in Italy.

Latin American and Latino Studies

In this program, you will take interdisciplinary classes focused on the appreciation and understanding of the Hispanic experience in the Americas. You will study Latin American and Caribbean countries, Latinos in the United States, and migrations and other transnational processes in the Americas from colonial times to the present.

Marketing

As a marketing student, you will learn how to research consumer needs, develop products and services that satisfy those needs, and communicate benefits through effective promotions that stimulate demand. Mathematical Finance

Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical engineering majors learn to solve problems that contribute to economic development and protecting the environment. In this program, you will study how to design and fabricate devices and components like motors, engines, aircraft, robots, and pollution control systems. Students in this major can focus on traditional mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or on energy and the environment.

Media and Communication Studies

As a Media and communication studies major, you’ll learn how television, cinema, newspapers, and the Internet influence our lives. You’ll critically analyze the forms and contents of mass media and gain an understanding of film, television, and related media in their varied aesthetic, social, historical, and cultural contexts.

Medieval and Byzantine Studies

This program offers you the chance to develop a breadth of knowledge across cultures (Western civilization, Eastern Christianity, the Islamic world), time periods (from 300 to 1500 AD), and disciplines (history, literature, theology, philosophy, etc.). The program offers three specialized tracks: cultural and artistic expressions; thought and worship; and history and social structures.

Musical Theatre

This program is designed to engage your passion for the stage in a rigorous training program that will prepare you to become a professional musical theatre artist, armed with the skills to perform on regional, national, and Broadway stages. You will receive "triple threat" instruction in intensive acting, voice, and dance lessons.

Music-Business Dual Degree

This program offers the advantages of in-depth business training in management, marketing, and administration, as well as solid musical education with a liberal arts foundation. This is an academically rigorous program that requires carrying at least 17 credit-hours most semesters.

As a general-choral music education major, you will build a strong theoretical and practical foundation in music education. Your core university requirements will expand your knowledge with courses in history, literature, and science. You will also have the opportunity to apply your skills in the classroom as part of a student teaching assignment.

As a general music major, you will study music within the broader context of the liberal arts. You will explore your passion for music while also challenging yourself to discover new interests. You will have the flexibility to explore the topics within and outside of music that interest you.

Music – History and Literature

As a music history and literature major, you will study the importance and styles of music that have been influential around the world and across centuries. You will study everything from liturgical music to jazz to musical theatre. You will develop analytical and writing skills in your review of music history and literature.

Music – Performance

As a performance major, you will study music within the broader context of the liberal arts. You will learn how to perform while pursuing other topics within and outside of music. During your senior year, you will perform a one-hour solo recital.

Music Theory

The minor in music theory is open to students pursuing a major in music. To earn the minor, students will take six courses in music theory. Those earning the minor will study topics like pedagogy of theory, form and analysis, and introduction to electronic composition.

Neuroscience

Neuroscience is a multidisciplinary field of study that explores the structure and function of the brain and nervous system. This minor helps students develop a deeper understanding of all types of behavior, including how we think, move, feel, and make decisions. Neuroscience minor is a great addition to a major in many fields, including biology, politics, engineering, computer science, and psychology.

As a nursing major, you will join a rigorous academic program that promotes relationship building and serving the underserved. You will get hands-on experience in providing care through clinical rotations. And you will develop the skills and knowledge you need to excel in the nursing profession, as well as the values to do so with compassion.

In this program, you will learn how people, processes, and systems interact in an enterprise to fulfill customer promises effectively and efficiently. Pastoral Ministry

The pastoral ministry certificate program is ideal for students interested in Church ministry with a professional formation and credential. It prepares students for service in Catholic education, youth ministry, and with vulnerable populations (e.g., the poor, the elderly). 

Peace and Justice Studies

The Peace and Justice Studies minor enables students to explore the complex set of issues surrounding violent and nonviolent approaches to resolving conflicts and to promote an interdisciplinary approach to the study of peace, justice, and world order. Students in this program can pursue tracks in Peacemaking in Theory and Practice, Intergroup Conflict and Cooperation, or World Conflict and Cooperation.  

Performing Arts Management

A minor in performing arts management prepares students for all aspects of management in the performing arts with courses in accounting, management, and marketing. Topics include management, theory and practice, theatre production, and more.

Philosophy

As a philosophy major, you will study the history of philosophy and engage in contemporary arguments about God, nature, and the human person. Your professors will guide you through the works of thinkers like Plato, Aristotle, Aquinas, Hobbes and Descartes, Hume, Rousseau, Kant and Hegel, Nietzsche, Husserl, Heidegger and Wittgenstein, and many others, and encourage you to explore philosophical questions systematically and rigorously. A major in philosophy offers excellent preparation for graduate studies in other fields, e.g. Business Administration, International Relations, Law, and Theology.

Philosophy Pre-Law

As a philosophy pre-law major, you will build an excellent foundation for the critical thinking, logical argumentation, and clear reasoning required for the study of law. You will study the history of philosophy and engage in contemporary arguments about God, truth, nature, and the human person. Your coursework will place a special emphasis on philosophical topics pertinent to the study of law. A major in philosophy pre-law offers excellent preparation for graduate studies in other fields, e.g. Business Administration, International Relations, Law, and Theology.

Physics

The study of physics is an attempt to understand the physical universe in as fundamental a way as possible. As a physics major, you’ll examine the mathematical relationships that exist among the physical entities of the world, and, in particular, try to discover the general principles that govern the behavior of the macroscopic and microscopic universe.

Piano

As a piano major, you will study piano for its ability to contribute to the beauty of the world and enrich the human soul. You will receive extensive training in piano, focusing on individual performance. You also will take supportive courses in music to provide you with a broad music background.

Political Theory

Politics majors can choose to focus their studies on political theory, taking courses that cover constitutionalism, American and Christian political thought, and modern political thought. Students in this track are expected to take classes from a wide range of disciplines in order to achieve a solid foundation in the liberal arts.

Politics Pre-Law

Politics majors on the pre-law track take courses to better prepare them for law school, while still pursuing a concentration in American government, world politics, or political theory.

Pre-Med

The premedical program is for those interested in medicine, pediatric medicine, veterinary medicine, dentistry, and physical therapy. The program is designed to provide the education, as well as the guidance, which will best enable you to pursue your goals to become a practitioner or medical researcher.

Psychological and Brain Science

As a psychological and brain sciences major, you’ll develop a strong foundation in the cognitive and neurological bases of behavior and follow a rigorous plan of math and natural sciences. The program is a good fit if you’re interested in pursuing a career in medicine, or in allied health, STEM, or neuroscience-related fields.

Psychology

As a psychology major or minor, you will learn psychological theory and methodology and become familiar with a variety of content areas, including neuroscience, cognition, developmental, social, and clinical psychology. You will also explore the relevance of psychology to topical issues such as technology, media, politics, sports, relationships, and peace and conflict, and have the chance to participate in research with faculty and graduate students. A psychology minor is a great addition to any major, including politics, nursing, business, criminology, or biology, or for anyone who is interested in better understanding human nature.

Rhetoric and Writing

Students completing a minor in rhetoric and writing will take six courses from the Department of Media and Communication Studies. The courses required to complete the minor are writing-intensive and cover topics like argumentative writing, writing improvement, and journalism.

Sales

In this program, you will develop a sales philosophy that focuses on building trust-based relationships. You will be taught by highly experienced and successful sales professionals who combine practical and intellectual training in sales with the principles of Catholic social teaching.

Sculpture

As a studio art — sculpture major, you will study the fundamentals of design, drawing and composition, and art history. You will take a sequence of courses in sculpture to develop your skills. You will also study contemporary art history to understand the context of your artistic development.

Secondary Education

The undergraduate programs in secondary education prepare students as middle school and high school teachers in English, mathematics, or social studies. The program enables students to build a solid foundation in the discipline of their choice while introducing them to the multifaceted nature of education. Students will be exposed to different theoretical perspectives that have historically guided educational choices.

The secondary education — social studies program prepares students as middle school and high school teachers of social studies. You’ll build a solid foundation in history and the social sciences while also being introduced to the multifaceted nature of education. Upon graduation, you’ll be ready to begin your teaching career in D.C. or apply for a teaching license in a state of your choice.

Social Work

As a social work major, you’ll turn a passion for service into a lifelong career. This program focuses not only on the problems to be solved, but the dignity of those being served. You will learn about the prevention and treatment of social problems, but also the promotion and enhancement of social well-being.

Sociology

As a sociology major, you will learn how to think systematically and critically about human social activity through the acquisition of the sociological imagination. This major teaches foundation skills of social interaction valued across industries and offers its students training and understanding in the scientific method as applied to real social data. Subjects covered include the study of crime, law, gender, class, religion, culture and meaning, family systems, population dynamics, and race and ethnicity. Upon completion of the program, students will be prepared for a variety of professional opportunities and careers in business, criminal justice, government, public and private agencies, or further academic study and social research.

Minor in Sociology

Space Weather

The space weather and space physics minor is a unique opportunity for students who are interested in a deeper understanding of the basic physical principles of space plasma physics and their applications in modern science and technology. You will get hands-on experience with space weather forecasting tools available at our Space Weather Center through its collaboration with NASA.

Spanish for Health Care

The Spanish for health care certificate is for students who wish to gain competence in medical Spanish and cultural awareness to better serve the Hispanic community. You will be exposed to cross-cultural communication challenges, health beliefs, and practices in a broad range of Spanish-speaking cultures.

Spanish for International Service

As a Spanish for international service major, you’ll study the cultural history of Latin America, Spain, and the Hispanic and Latino communities in the United States, and develop the practical skills you need for a career in international service. You’ll enhance your classroom learning and language proficiency through a semester abroad in a Spanish-speaking country.

Sports Management

Want to combine your love of sports with your passion for business? In this program, you will study sports and teams from the perspective of a general manager. You will learn about brand management, promotions, contracts, human resources, event planning, financing, and facilities management, and more.

Statistics

Statistics is a field that is growing ever more relevant in modern society and careers, as the world has now entered the era of "big data." A minor in statistics can be applied in many disciplines, including social sciences, applied sciences, business, and the humanities.

Structural Engineering

Civil engineering majors in the structural engineering track focus on analyzing and designing structures with the aim of making sure they withstand external forces, including gravity loads, earthquake, wind, and hydrodynamic forces. Students will be prepared for a career designing bridges, buildings, dams, industrial structures, and more.

Studio Art

Studio Art minors can specialize in painting, sculpture, or digital art. You will work in our high-end digital art lab and have access to large format ink-jet photo printers, HD video cameras, lighting equipment, and state-of-the-art computers. You will work closely with our award-winning faculty to develop a competitive professional-level portfolio.

Sustainability

This minor combines the liberal arts and sciences — ethics, social sciences, science and technology — with courses that focus on the practice of sustainability. You will receive a strong foundation in Catholic social teaching with an understanding of current scholarship and practical skills to take with you into the workforce.

Technology Management

In this business-focused program, you will learn how to use computers, networks, and systems to deliver high value to customers. You will explore a variety of systems to learn about their impact on business. You will spend time studying the Amazon business model, from the webfront stores to the backend distribution warehouses.

Theology and Religious Studies

As a theology and religious studies major, you'll embark on a rigorous and engaging intellectual journey. Your courses will challenge you and broaden your knowledge of theology and religious studies. You will develop critical skills in reading, writing, and speaking with regards to life's ultimate questions and learn about how religious traditions inform the answers.

Transportation Engineering

Civil engineering majors in the transportation engineering track focus on the design and construction of  airports, highways, railroads, and public transit. Students in this track will study design and operations, traffic flow and control, and demand analysis and policy planning.

Video Production and Digital Storytelling

This interdisciplinary program provides specialized training in media production and narrative construction. You will receive comprehensive training in video production and audio-visual storytelling. You will develop technical skills in lighting, videography, motion graphics, digital audio, and video editing. You will develop the creative voice necessary for today’s ever-changing digital communication landscape.

Violin, Viola, Cello

In this program, you will receive first-class musical training. Along with foundational music courses in areas like music history and conducting, you will receive advanced private instruction in viola, violin, or cello.

Vocal Performance

As a vocal performance major, your voice will be heard. You will be trained as both a performer and a scholar. You will develop a musical style all your own while receiving a broad music background.

Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion

In this program, you will receive first-class musical training. Along with foundational music courses in areas like music history and conducting, you will receive advanced private instruction in a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument.

World Politics

As a world politics major, your politics coursework will focus on comparative politics and international relations. World politics majors are encouraged to participate in study-abroad programs offered through the University, including the British Parliamentary Internship program.
